  This piece was written in the early 90's and was one of the first pieces produced that used the marimba and interactive electronics. The original realization of the piece requires the marimba to have a K&K pick-up mic system installed which can convert the analog data into MIDI data. However, with the high price of this hardware, its unconventional nature, and the relative unavailability of the product makes this piece impossible to perform.
  Currently I am working on another realization that will not rely on the K&K system. It will rather use only a few microphones, computer, and sound card. The electronics will be programmed using MAX/MSP software, part of cycling 74. There is possibility for another version to be made using Pd, but not for at least a few years. The first scheduled performance will be in November of 2003.
